When we set out to create Mira, the goal was to challenge our scoping, backend, and design capabilities by building a functional Jira clone. Unlike external client projects, this initiative was a personal endeavor aimed at honing technical skills and exploring best practices in project management tool design.
Mira was developed with a focus on replicating and improving the core functionalities of Jira. It featured project boards, customizable workflows, task assignments, and real-time updates to simulate the demands of collaborative work environments. The backend was built to handle complex data relationships efficiently, while the user interface prioritized clarity and ease of use, ensuring an intuitive experience for users.
Through the development of Mira, we gained valuable insights into system architecture, database optimization, and the nuances of user-centric design. This project not only served as a testing ground for technical growth but also demonstrated our ability to deliver polished, functional software that meets the needs of modern teams.
